Chemical properties:

Dark blue powder. Insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in xylene, tetralin and nitrobenzene. It appears blue-green in concentrated sulfuric acid, turns blue after dilution, and produces blue precipitate. It appears yellow in alkaline solution of insurance powder and light yellow in acidic solution.

Use:

Reduced bromide indigo is suitable for dyeing cotton, viscose fiber, silk, wool and printing cotton cloth. It has good level dyeing and affinity. It is also used for dyeing cotton blended fabrics, preparing ink pigments and coloring plastics.
